Erin’s practice occupies spaces between moving image, sound, and interactive storytelling. Her artistic philosophy is rooted in the avant-garde, interdisciplinary ethos of Dartington College of Arts (RIP), where she began her career running the Production department. There, she supported performing arts students in projection, lighting, and sound, while teaching and developing her specialism in studio audio—treating technology not merely as an operational tool, but as an experiential, performative medium.
For over two decades, Erin has been running her own production company, collapsing the boundaries between physical and digital spaces to direct, shoot, produce, and edit everything from intimate film and audio stories and producing creative innovation magazine and hack events to multi-stream broadcasts and theatrical streaming. Her collaborative canvas spans multiple platforms and includes bold work with prominent cultural institutions such as the National Theatre of Scotland, the Royal Opera House, Edinburgh Art Festival, and PBS Kids.
Her formal academic foundation—a BA (Hons) in Photography, Film, and Imaging from Napier University (incorporating a year at Toronto's Ryerson University film school) and an MSc in Interactive Systems Design—reflects a continuous exploration of how audiences interact with visual narratives. As an educator, she imparts this process-driven, boundary-pushing philosophy to undergraduates and postgraduates at UAL London College of Fashion, as well as to organisations.
Erin views art and life as inextricably linked. Her personal passions for hiking, travel, and music and food directly inform the rhythm, spatial awareness, and human connection within her visual work. A natural facilitator of shared experiences, whether it’s filming or the communal act of cooking for and entertaining friends.
